Midtown, until recently, would have been considered part of downtown. New development and growth in this area has meant that Midtown now has its own identity. The spine of Midtown runs along Fairview Street (and Plains Road to the west) and its heart is between Brant Street and Guelph Line. The west and north boundaries are the QEW.
With recent growth and development in Burlington in all directions, Midtown is now the centre of Burlington.
